The Story of the Teenager with Anorexia Who Could Not Fight Anymore

Pippa McManus, a teenager from the United Kingdom, suffered from anorexia since she was 12 years old. After three years of fighting, she committed suicide and now her parents report that doctors were released only five days earlier.

Pippa McManus disease began in 2012, when she was only 12 years old. It was then that she began to worry about her image, which led her to exercise excessively and to control her meals.

That same year, when her parents noticed the problem, they took her to the doctor. Initially she was treated in her locality, but in 2014 had to be admitted to the Priory hospital in Altrincham. She weighed 27 kilos, self-injuring and one of his doctors considered it to be one of the most “severe” anorexia nervosa cases she had ever dealt with.

Later; Pippa returned home, but soon showed that she was not recovered.

Her parents found notes in which she said goodbye to all his loved ones. “I do not want to grow up and have a life.

I do not have it right now. I cannot fight anorexia any more than I’ve done. I’ve tried, but it’s won,” she wrote.

Before this, they entered again, but after a period in which it did not recover, they gave to her the discharge again. Five days later, she committed suicide.
