12 Ways to Protect Your Child from Winter Diseases

The increased amount of time spend indoors and the close contact with sick people most commonly affect the children between the ages of 2 and 6. Here are the ways to protect your children from winter diseases:

Do not kiss while you are sick

Since the upper respiratory tract diseases transmit through mouth and nose secretions and through airway, your kiss may get your kid sick. For this reason, when you are ill, avoid kissing your child. Cover your mouth when you sneeze or cough to avoid him/her to contact your infected droplets. Also, if you or someone else from your household has an upper respiratory tract infection, that person must wear a mask.
